The Accessories Council is a not-for-profit, national trade organization established in 1994. Our mission is to stimulate consumer awareness and demand for fashion accessory products. The Accessories Council sponsors educational seminars, networking events, seasonal trend reports, marketing & advertising co-op initiatives, design & marketing awards for area fashion students, our exciting annual silent auction, social media events, and the esteemed black tie ACE Award Gala, an annual tribute to the leaders of the accessory industry.

The Accessories Council is seeking a driven, hard-working, and motivated individual to join our team as a paid, part-time intern. The candidate must be able to begin at the end of August. Candidate should be studying fashion, public relations or a related major, and should have a strong interest in the accessories industry.

Requirements:

-Flexible schedule and commitment of at least 3 days a week

-Superb writing skills

-Strong communication skills

-Proficiency in social media outlets including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, and tumblr

-Photoshop skills are a plus

-Ability to multi-task

-Must be punctual

Responsibilities:

-Contribute to Accessories Council blog postings

-Assistance at our various events

-Follow-Up phone calls for various events

-Research

-Basic office maintenance tasks
